Ingredients:
- 1 whole chicken
- 2 cups jasmine rice
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 inch ginger
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cucumbers
- 1 bunch cilantro
- 1 bunch green onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Bring water to a boil in a big pot
Put in the whole chicken and cook for 30 minutes, or until it's done
Take the chicken out of the pot and put it in a bowl of ice water to cool down
Keep the chicken broth aside to use when you cook rice
Set the sesame oil on medium heat in a different pot
Put in the minced garlic and ginger, and cook until the food smells good
Mix the jasmine rice with oil after adding it to the pot
Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper that you saved from the chicken broth
Mix well
Bring the rice mix to a boil, then turn down the heat
Put the lid on top and let it cook slowly for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the rice is fluffy and cooked
Prepare the toppings while the rice is cooking
Cut the cucumber into thin slices and chop the cilantro and green onions very small
After the chicken has cooled, cut it up into pieces that are ready to serve
Put the chicken on a plate with cooked rice
Top with chopped green onions, cilantro, and cucumber
Have fun!
