Pomegranate Molasses



This homemade pomegranate molasses is a versatile ingredient that adds depth and complexity to both sweet and savory dishes. It's perfect for drizzling over salads, marinating tofu or vegetables, or adding a tangy sweetness to sauces and dressings.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups pomegranate juice
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

Instructions:

In a saucepan, combine pomegranate juice, sugar, and lemon juice

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally

Reduce the heat to medium-low and let it simmer until it reduces to a syrupy consistency, stirring occasionally, for about 1 hour

Once thickened, remove from heat and let it cool

Transfer the molasses to a sterilized glass jar and store in the refrigerator for up to 6 months
