Fudgy Christmas Brownies



Enjoy these Christmas brownies that are rich and fudgy! It's great for holiday parties or as a sweet treat by the fire.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans optional
  • Powdered sugar for dusting optional

Instructions:

Start by heating the oven to 350F 175C

A 9x9-inch baking pan should be greased and floured

Put the chocolate chips and butter in a bowl that can go in the microwave

Melt them together in 30-second increments, stirring after each one, until the mixture is smooth

Add the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to a different large bowl and mix them together using a whisk

The chocolate mixture should be poured into the egg mixture and mixed until it is smooth

Add the cocoa powder, salt, and flour all at once

Mix it up until it's just right

If you want to, fold in the chopped nuts

Spread out the batter in the baking pan that has been prepared

After the oven is hot, bake it for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out with moist crumbs on it instead of wet batter

Let the brownies cool all the way down on a wire rack in the pan

Sprinkle with powdered sugar if you want after it has cooled

Serve it cut up into squares
